2021 King of the Hammers – #24

Race Recap

In their second King of the Hammers, Zandy and Peanut started in the middle of the pack on race day. They cruised through the first lap with no major hiccups, then headed for the main rock sections in laps two and three. They got stuck in a few places, but the main trouble came in King’s Graveyard on lap three. A broken winch led them to think they were out of the race but after being stuck for around two hours, they were able to get back on course and work their way through the rocks. Their crawling experience came in handy, and they made it through the rest of the tough sections and were headed home through the desert. They got their first KOH finish, coming across the line as the last finisher of the year!
